What To Expect:

ARRIVING: Dress casual. Bring anybody you’d like. And, above all things, be yourself! All are welcome, and all means all. Our pastoral staff and musicians participating in worship are all fully vaccinated. You are welcome to wear a mask or not. Individuals who are not feeling well, even if it is just a common cold, should stay home and watch worship on-line at a later time. We pride ourselves in being cognizant of the feelings of others as we share greetings via hugs, handshakes, fist-bumps, or non-touch signs of peace.

WORSHIP INTRODUCTIONS: Our laity worship leaders always set a beautiful tone for worship, sharing a story or an idea that corresponds to the theme of the day.  We live out the Psalms: we praise, we ask for what we need, we confess, we complain, we lament - giving thanks to God as we express our vulnerability and our longings. A Call To Worship sets an introspective mood of how God is bigger than our cultural fads and ties us to scripture.

MUSIC: Are you tired of loud songs in worship, but want more than organ music?  We honor hymns sung to great piano playing. We have a brilliant choir, who are sometimes accompanied with strings, woodwind, or brass. Special music for offertory is usually a soloist on piano sometimes with bass, acoustic guitar, or soft drums.

SCRIPTURE AND MESSAGE: Every week we hear, learn, and tell the story of God & God’s people. We read from the Bible. We share stories from our lives. The lectionary provides a tie to ensure we cover most of the Bible not just the same themes over and over again. As our founder, John Wesley, stated, we think and let think, and encourage all four themes of spirituality:  scripture, tradition, reason, and experience. All inform the others.

PRAYER, OFFERING, AND COMMUNION: Communion is set for the first Sunday of each month with special music. We honor an open table. While no one is required to receive communion, all are welcome to receive grace. We ensure those serving communion have sanitized hands.  You receive a piece of bread and an individual communion cup. You may give online via our website or place your gifts in the offering plates.

Music

A wonderful choir brings traditionally soothing and introspective sounds to worship. Brass and woodwind ensembles bring alive the wonder of music to a soul. Piano and guitar add contemporary sound.

Adults

Parents
