Ministry For Children
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." - Matthew 19:14. This scripture has long been central to the congregation of Foothills UMC. We strive to provide education and special events and activities so that children may grow in their understanding of themselves and the Christian faith.
Kids:
Praise Pals
We invite adult members of the congregation to pair up with one of our Foothills children or youth. It's a great way to make connections across generations and build relationships! We typically host some of these activities between worship services.
Vacation Bible School
Every summer the sanctuary is transformed into a place of wonder for a week long Vacation Bible School. Children are engaged in Christian teaching through play, songs, crafts, and skits. The older kids and parents are invited to volunteer and join the fun. More info
Service Opportunities
Take advantage of fun opportunities to serve with other kids and families at Foothills UMC. Contact our Katie Curtin for more information. She manages our children, youth, and family ministries.
PlayGround & Church Grounds
Our church playground is open to the community. Guests and members are welcome to utilize the playground and the picnic tables appropriately. There is a Free Little Library if you wish to leave or take a book. Our grounds are a beautiful place to be.
The playground is also available for kids and their families to enjoy before and after church services.
