Our ROOTS

Foothills United Methodist Church

Foothills United Methodist Church, about 35 miles east of Sacramento, CA., was chartered in November, 1978. The young congregation began meeting in the multi-purpose room of Rescue Elementary School and reaching out to the newly developing Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/El Dorado Hills/Rescue area. Under the 17-year-leadership of founding Pastor Larry George, the congregation experienced steady growth, completing a sanctuary in 1984 and an educational building in 1989. Our average Sunday attendance is about 100 people.
